It's Time for a Change

We often long for change, but we don't always practice changing things up.

Recently, a friend lent me a harmonium, a beautiful old Indian instrument. It's been a really fun experience (and I don’t want to give it back!) but it got me thinking about the importance of trying new things…

By regularly engaging in new experiences, we learn that change does not have to be daunting; it can be a source of joy, enrichment, and transformation. This process trains our minds and hearts to embrace the unfamiliar so we can progress.

Believe it or not, this practice significantly impacts our health goals. The key is to cultivate a conscious relationship with change across various facets of life, nurturing an attitude of curiosity and applying the same principles of experimentation to our wellness pursuits. This way, change becomes an ally rather than a hurdle on the path to a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Whether it's trying a new exercise routine, exploring a different dietary approach, or implementing relaxation practices, the ability to experiment and take risks in these areas becomes less frustrating and even enjoyable.

When was the last time you intentionally tried something new?
