Cold Mornings, Slow Starts and Staying Consistent

"I'm having a slow morning today but I'm almost ready!” one of my clients messaged me this morning.

This made me smile. She knows how to listen to her body and still show up in a way that works for her. She's my most seasonal client—meaning she feels the shifts in the weather, the light, and her own body's cravings and needs. And she honors them.

As the seasons change, our bodies change, too. We need different things—nutritionally, emotionally, and physically. But instead of working with those shifts, we often try to override them. We push through fatigue, and expect our energy to stay the same year-round.

Winter invites us to slow down. Mornings feel quieter. We may crave warmth, nourishment, and rest. Rather than fighting it, what if we leaned in?

That doesn't mean we stop moving. My client still got her whole workout in—she just needed a little more time to ease into it. Strength, movement, and consistency still matter, but so does recognizing when we need to adjust our pace.

What does your body need more (or less) of during this time of year?
