What's Your Food Strategy On Busy Days?

In the fitness world, “meal prep” often means perfectly portioned meals lined up in Tupperware containers. To me, though, it’s about creating a strategy that fits my lifestyle and supports my needs.

At its core, meal prep is simply knowing where your next few meals will come from and ensuring they support your goals, so you’re not left scrambling or settling for choices that don’t feel good.

For busy days, it can mean maximizing the meal you do have time for, like a nourishing breakfast or having something ready to eat for a 20 minute break. One of my favorite versions of “mobile nutrients” is a smoothie packed with protein and nutrients that I can easily take with me in the car. Thoughtfully preparing food the night before or knowing which restaurants near your work or gym offer meals that align with your health goals also counts as meal prep.

I often share this question with clients to guide them:

If your body could speak, what simple, easy-to-make foods would it ask for when you’re on the go?

My latest flex is that I recently learned how to make Thai curry, and I love that it's nourishing, convenient, and keeps well in my fridge for days!
