The Sunset Effect: Can a Sunset Inspire Motivation?

Have you ever thought of health as a checklist of good habits?

Today I want to share something that’s been on my mind lately: Health is more than a collection of habits; it’s the inner rhythm we create for ourselves.

Recently, I heard a health and fitness business coach say “post things that bring your audience value. A sunset is pretty but that doesn’t have anything to do with your health. It doesn’t have anything to do with weight loss.” While I understand the importance of practical advice, this perpetuates the false belief that improved health simply comes from tweaking your diet and exercising harder.

While a sunset may not burn calories or build muscle, it nourishes us internally, activating a profound rhythm of health. For me, a sunset is a portal to presence, gratitude, connection, and peace. Perhaps, from that calm state, I return home content, enjoy a restful night's sleep, wake up naturally with energy, and so forth. It all starts with slowing down and appreciating the beauty of a sunset.

What would it feel like to establish a consistent rhythm in your health and life goals, even when life is very busy? This concept prompted me to create my brand new self-paced course called Start Here, which breaks it down for you in a step-by-step way, meeting you where you are in your life journey.
