Should I Buy a Juicer?

"Should I buy a juicer and make juice every morning?" my friend asked me. "Sure, but it's kind of time-consuming, and you have to keep a ton of fruits and vegetables on hand at all times," I replied. Immediately, she said, "Yeah, but my body deserves it.”

Her statement startled me. The answer wasn't just about juicing; it was a revelation about how we care for ourselves.

It got me thinking—how often do we truly live in a way that honors our bodies and acknowledges their relentless efforts? We often say, "I deserve it," as a way to rationalize actions that may not be the best for us, citing a tough day or stress as justification.

What if we acknowledged that our bodies work tirelessly for us day in and day out, deserving more than just sporadic indulgences?

They deserve peaceful nights and restful sleep. They deserve invigorating exercise to become strong and resilient. They deserve calm moments of relaxation to ease the stress of daily life, and the mindfulness to appreciate their incredible capabilities.
