How to slow down time (a little)

pics to end July. It can easily feel like a highlight reel—but for me, it was a quiet practice in reflection and gratitude. Selecting six memorable moments from the month that made me feel joy, alive and happy to be here.

 

A friend of mine does something similar, but on a daily scale. Each night, she writes down three things from her day that felt like summer. I LOVE this and feel it's a beautiful way to honor the season before it rushes by. 

 

Our relationship to time is funny, especially in summer, when the days are long but seem to slip through our fingers like sand. These kinds of practices help us stay close to what's happening now.

 

Some summery things for me are being barefoot in the sand, the sound of cicadas, the taste of fresh berries. What feels like summer to you?
